Why These Guidelines Exist
Chakrabam exists for conversations that are often difficult, uncomfortable, or overlooked. You do not have to agree with everyone here. You do have to respect their right to participate without being threatened, harassed, or exposed to unnecessary harm.
Difficult conversations are welcome. Harmful behavior is not. These boundaries exist so that one person’s freedom to speak does not destroy another person’s ability to participate safely.
Who These Guidelines Apply To
These guidelines apply to material submitted to Chakrabam, messages sent to us, and participation in any interactive feature we may introduce. The current site has no user accounts, comment system, or public discussion board, and its forms operate in the browser. Future features will be expected to follow these principles.
Speak Freely, Responsibly
We want people to discuss family, relationships, work, identity, culture, stigma, and other difficult subjects openly. Share in good faith, distinguish what you know from what you believe or experienced, and consider how your words may affect people who are already vulnerable.
Respectful Disagreement
Challenge ideas rather than attack people. Explain why you disagree, add context or evidence for factual claims, recognize that experiences differ, and avoid deliberately inflammatory language. Strong criticism and unpopular opinions are not automatically violations; targeted abuse is.
User and Community Submissions
You may be invited to submit stories, topics, answers, opinions, or feedback. Submit only work you have the right to share. A submission may be reviewed, edited, translated, anonymized, contextualized, declined, or published. Publication is not an automatic right.
Anonymous Participation
Anonymity can make it easier to discuss family problems, relationships, stigma, workplace experiences, financial difficulty, identity, discrimination, mistakes, and subjects that feel unsafe to discuss publicly. Anonymous public attribution is not a promise of absolute technical anonymity, and it is not permission to harm others. Anonymous contributors remain responsible for these standards.
Personal Stories and Experiences
First-person experiences are welcome. Say “my experience was” when that is what you know. Serious accusations about identifiable people should not be presented as established fact. Chakrabam may request context, remove identifying details, decline publication, or remove a published item where appropriate.
Harassment and Bullying
Do not use Chakrabam primarily to attack, shame, intimidate, stalk, or repeatedly target another person. Criticism of ideas, institutions, or public conduct can be legitimate; sustained personal abuse is not.
Hate and Discrimination
Discussion of caste, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, nationality, disability, class, and other sensitive issues is welcome. Criticism of ideas, institutions, traditions, and social systems is different from dehumanizing or targeting people because of who they are.
Threats and Violence
Threats, encouragement of violence, celebration of serious harm, and instructions intended to help someone hurt another person are not allowed. If a situation presents immediate danger, contact appropriate local emergency services rather than relying on Chakrabam.
Privacy and Personal Information
Do not publish sensitive personal information without appropriate justification and consent. This includes private addresses, phone numbers, private email addresses, identification documents, passwords, financial information, private conversations, or information that could expose someone to harm.
Doxxing
Do not try to identify anonymous contributors or expose information about someone so others can contact, punish, or intimidate them. Public availability does not automatically make personal information appropriate to republish.
Allegations About Other People
Allegations can seriously affect safety and reputation. Do not knowingly make false accusations, and do not present unverified claims about an identifiable person as fact. Chakrabam may anonymize, seek a response, request evidence, add context, decline publication, or remove the material.
Misinformation and Misrepresentation
Do not knowingly fabricate evidence, quotations, statistics, screenshots, identities, events, or accusations. Opinions, interpretations, satire, and personal experiences are not automatically factual reporting; label or frame them honestly.
Impersonation
Do not pretend to be another person, organization, source, or Chakrabam representative in a way that misleads people or causes harm.
Spam and Manipulation
Do not flood Chakrabam with repetitive material, manipulate attention through coordinated deception, submit promotional spam, or use automated activity to interfere with the site.
Sexual / Explicit Content
Sexuality and relationships can be legitimate subjects of discussion. Do not use Chakrabam to share sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate material, sexual content involving minors, or explicit material whose primary purpose is to shock, harass, or expose someone.
Graphic or Disturbing Content
Chakrabam may discuss trauma, abuse, violence, death, addiction, and other disturbing subjects. Graphic detail should be limited to what is necessary for understanding, with context or warnings where appropriate. Do not use suffering as spectacle.
Self-Harm and Other Sensitive Topics
Mental health, self-harm, abuse, sexuality, trauma, family conflict, addiction, violence, death, financial hardship, and stigma are not forbidden subjects. Do not encourage harm, provide dangerous instructions, romanticize injury, or exploit a vulnerable person’s situation. Seek qualified local support when you or someone else may be in immediate danger.
Illegal or Dangerous Content
Do not use Chakrabam to facilitate crime, evade safety measures, sell prohibited goods, or provide instructions intended to cause serious harm. Discussing a difficult reality is different from helping someone carry out harm.
Copyright and Original Work
Share work you created or have permission to share. Do not submit plagiarized material, stolen images, private documents, or copyrighted work in a way that infringes someone else’s rights. Attribute sources where appropriate.
Promotion and Advertising
Chakrabam is not currently a public advertising or promotional platform. Do not use submissions primarily for spam, undisclosed promotion, fundraising deception, or commercial targeting. Any future partner material should be clearly labelled.
Moderation and Editorial Discretion
Chakrabam may review submissions, edit them, add context, request clarification, anonymize identifying information, restrict distribution, decline publication, remove content, correct content, or restrict participation where necessary. Decisions may consider context, severity, intent, potential harm, public interest, repetition, and available evidence. Not every concern requires the same response.
Reporting a Concern
Readers can contact hello@chakrabam.com or use the Contact page about harassment, privacy violations, misinformation, copyright, impersonation, threats, harmful content, inaccurate information, or other concerns. Include the relevant page and specific concern where possible. The current site does not have a separate reporting dashboard.
What Happens When Guidelines Are Violated
Depending on context and seriousness, Chakrabam may ask for clarification, edit or anonymize material, decline publication, remove content, correct a record, limit distribution, or restrict future participation. We may act without advance notice when safety, privacy, or legal concerns require it.
Appeals / Requests for Review
You may ask us to review a moderation or publication concern by writing to hello@chakrabam.com. Explain what happened and provide relevant context. Review does not guarantee that a decision will change, but we will consider good-faith requests.
Changes to These Guidelines
These guidelines may evolve as Chakrabam grows and learns. We will update the “Last updated” date when the published version changes.
